This page serves as MCAI’s PAIA information access manual for members and members of the public who need guidance on requesting access to records held by MCAI.

1. Purpose

The purpose of this manual is to explain what information MCAI holds, how to request access, and how MCAI protects private and sensitive member information.

2. Privacy-first handling

Important: MCAI treats member information as confidential and sensitive. MCAI will not disclose member personal information, case details, or uploaded records without member approval, except where legally required.

3. Requesting access to records

Send a written request with your full name, contact details, and the specific record requested.
State your relationship to the record and why access is required.
Provide enough detail for MCAI to identify the requested record.

5. Response and limitations

MCAI will review requests and respond within a reasonable timeframe. Access may be limited or refused where required to protect privacy, safety, legal privilege, or other lawful restrictions.
